Deborah McCarthy:  President

My name is Deborah McCarthy, owner and director of Kiddie City Family Childcare in Holden, Massachusetts, where I have been delighted to serve over 50 families in the past 16 years.   I am also the Founder and Co-President of the "Family Childcare Professional Network" in Holden, Mass., since 1997.

My experience includes consultant work with families seeking information concerning: Safety in a Childcare Setting, Interview Techniques with perspective licensed daycare providers and What to look for in Quality Childcare.  I have presented on these topics at Child Care Symposiums and support groups in the New England area to child care professionals as well as on many other topics.  In 2001, I produced and hosted an "Educational Childcare Forum" on the Wachusett Cable Network in Massachusetts with a distinguished panel including a Massachusetts State Licensor from the Office for Childcare Services, a representative from Childcare Resources, a licensed childcare provider, and a parent with children in a home childcare setting.

Child safety and peace of mind for parents is a top priority for Early Childhood Educators.  With the events of the past few years, there is a growing concern for the safety of our children, especially while traveling on field trips.  With this in mind, I have developed a product to give parents of children in childcare facilities peace of mind while also enhancing the professionalism of the facility.
